good morning Cedar Grove students teachers faculty and staff welcome to the best school in the state of Tennessee please pause for a moment of silence thank you now for the pledge I pledge allegiance Grove school pledge to be caring respectful and responsible as we learn and Achieve together weird so excited it is house Tuesday Steve leave it it's only Tuesday and we're celebrating our houses thanks to read Across America week today is Reading Rainbow so we got to where all of our rainbow house colors today so we are so excited to kick off the month of March with a house house house Tuesday which we are so so excited about as you know all the house chance are below your video so don't forget to go over your house chance today we are so excited that blue chingu green mood Rose purple, Mica and red-eyed Wanda are here to represent birthday today to Louis Grider all in the Stewart's class happy birthday Louise we also have to count them one too positive office referral here they are hot off the presses the first positive office referral is chew or about Anna gudino and it is about from Miss shy in their homeroom teacher is Miss Point set the positive behavior is that they work so hard on an essay in the, is it an estate focus and worked very hard to complete her opinion essay I'm so proud of how well she is doing way to go Anna our next positive office referral list for Armani rainya find the shy it's for helping others in class Miss shine says our money helped another student with her writing today thank you for being kind and helpful in class I know I can always depend on you Armani this is amazing great job friend I love someone who you can depend on way to show everyone what being a timber wolf is all about great job everyone keep those positive office referrals rolling into Miss George we love to hear about how amazing are Timberwolves are alright guys we have a lot going on the next two days to date is March 1st it is f day on the related arts schedule there are plc's today maybe a little bit of weed attesting and a special visitor will be in the building from 8:45 to 10:30 so everyone better be on your best behavior and show this visitor example Timber Wolf is all about being respectful being responsible and being prepared is what we want to see every day but most importantly this morning for just a little bit Miss George me walking around that special gas so make sure that you are showing our visitor everything about being a timber wolf today is also a very important all the teachers exactly what's going on as we're transitioning our lunch bag the cafeteria super exciting for a house Friday today so fun today you should be in a Reading Rainbow and wearing your house colors that is very exciting and in just a little bit I am going to be introducing to you a very special house challenge where we're going to put out all of our good and to bring it in books to can wax for our book drive so give me just a few minutes and we're going to come back to that on a Wednesday I want everyone to be on the lookout for superheroes and because reading gives you superpowers still look I have my purple cape for, Nika ready to go for to-morrow on way play where your capes and show off your amazing reading superpowers I cannot wait to see all those superheroes on Wednesday teachers make sure they're all of you case bubble sheets are turned in on Wednesday so make sure you're finding all of them from your small groups and getting them turned into the and of course we are celebrating read Across America day because Wednesday March 2nd is Doctor Seuss's birthday and so on Wednesday make sure that you were wearing your cape on Thursday it's fan-favorite day dress up is your favorite book character so I cannot wait to see all those amazing characters that you've been reading about in books and then Friday is one of our favorite days ever it's closing up where your PJs to school and bring your favorite book to share oh my goodness I want to take a step back in time for a minute and think back to February February was such a great month and we have some amazing pictures coming in from teachers this is Miss White's class and this is her representing her houses they look like they had such a great time your teacher sent in lots of amazing photos this was just one class that we what is a highlight so thanks for playing along Miss White's class great job with it being house Tuesday we wanted to start a service project it's on our need for books so because it is read Across America week we thought it would be so amazing time to start a house challenge where we did a book drive now a book drive means that you take your gently used books that you have at home that you have read and read and you are done with and you're going to ask your family at home if it's okay if you bring those books in to our book drive so in the front lobby there will be some boxes and they will be decorated in your house color now the books that you bring in earn your house house points so you're going to go through your things make sure you ask your families first if it's okay get it a that you bring those books in and you can drop them in the lobby in the house box that is your special house so if you're in, when are you going to drop it in the purple box if you're in girls you're going to drop it in the green box now these books are very important we are passing along these books so what we are going to do is we're going to start to there will be a special flyer that goes home to moms and dads and grandma's and grandpa's that says that we're doing this book drive and we are going to be collecting nose until March 20th death on March 25th we're going to let you guys buy some new books so four 1/4 1/4 that's $0.25 per book you can buy some books that people brought in so you can take books at your bored with and you're done with and get some new ones to take home that you can update your home Prairie now when we collect the $0.25 per book it's going to a great place we are going to give all of that money to a very special place Bob's books that way they can buy more books to give to lots of kids so we are going to be looking at the Imagination Library foundation and we're going to be sending all of the money that you used to buy a book and give it to them to do even bigger and better things so we're giving forward and we're going to do amazing things for our houses so we're going to points for houses or we're going to give back to the community and that's what being a timber wolf is all about so look around your house in the next few weeks pick out those books that you're ready to exchange and, give back that was a lot for this morning announcements now you have a choice to make today you can make it a great day or not the choice is yours I hope you have an amazing house Tuesday and I hope that you think about giving back
