Spectrum Themes for 2019-2020
For the 2019-2020 school year, students will develop resiliency and perseverance in academic, leadership, and social skills. All students will be exposed to advanced math and reading materials. Academically, students in fourth and fifth grades will focus on space, structure, and story. Students will focus on advanced science and ELA content through the lens of structure- it's parts, purpose, and function. Our younger students will focus on transformations by exploring essential questions, creative projects, differentiated tasks and the use of in-depth analysis models. In addition, independent projects will highlight the development of presentation skills, writing and research skills, higher order thinking, and problem solving skills. If you have questions about a particular assignment, please ask.
